The start of Southampton SeptemberFest 2012 kicks off under the tent in Agawam Park on Friday. Local wines and craft beer along with delicacies provided by gourmet food trucks from the region will be served from 6:30 to 9:30 PM. Music by New Life Crisis featuring Paul Mahos and his band mates will serve up a mix of original tracks as well as cover favorites from U2, George Michael, NIN, Elton John, the Beatles, Elvis and others. Donations help fund SeptemberFest and charities supported by Southampton Rotary Club. Price is $25 per person in advance, $35 at the door. Southampton Town Police Superior Officers Association will be holding a Comedy Night Fundraiser featuring Adam Ferrara at Hampton Bays High School on Saturday at 8 PM. The cost is $50 and $75 for limited VIP seating with a backstage pass. There will be an "After Party" at Buckley's Inn Between. The SOA provides financial aid and volunteer manpower to many worthy causes such as Maureen's Haven, PAL, Wounded Worrier Project, and community food drives. The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation will host a mulit-faceted day at its Hampton Bays facility on Saturday. The Action Science Club of Hampton Bays will scrub your cars whistle clean while you shop the tag sale from the shelter's Southampton Thrift Shop. There will be refreshments and baked goods for all to enjoy. Visit the cats, dogs, puppies and kittens. The Adopt-a-thon will take place all day. ARF Stroll To The Sea
ARF's 19th Annual Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk will take place October 6 from 9 AM to noon. Pedigrees, designer dogs and mutts are all welcome to take the two-mile walk to the ocean starting from Mulford Farm in East Hampton. Free microchipping, contests and treats will be available. Run for the Ridley
