Mary's Marvelous, a grab-and-go shop with a local and seasonal focus, opens its second store in East Hampton with a preview party on August 31 from 4 to 7 PM. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be served including mini sandwiches and sample smoothies as well as bite sized baked goods.
Mary Schoenlein, owner and executive chef, has run Mary's Marvelous in Amagansett since July 2002 and began to consider the idea of opening another location almost four years ago. In March of 2012, a venue in the village of East Hampton became available. "I believed this would be the best opportunity for me at this time to grow my business and be more readily available to a larger audience," remarked Schoenlein.
The new space has a clean, white appearance, similar to that of the Amagansett location, but with a more modern feel. A two-minute walk from the East Hampton train station and a seven-minute walk from Main Street, Mary's Marvelous will be a convenient place for a quick lunch or tasty treat. Walk into the right side of this building to pick up pre-packaged food to go or order from an array of menu options, while within the left-side doorway retail goods may be found.
