Parrish or Perish: A Free Cocktail Party

As part of The Project's new series of events targeted to young professionals on the East End, the youthful extension of The Parrish Art Museum is hosting an evening of "Collaborative Art & Cocktails" on Saturday, from 7 to 10 p.m.

The Project will unveil an eight-by-16-foot outdoor mural at the cocktail party on the museum's west lawn. Over 35 local artists and amateurs have collaborated to paint a section of the mural, which is inspired by Frederick Edwin Church's Niagara, on view in the museum's current exhibition "Encouraging American Genius." These diverse sections will be re-assembled for the first time on July 15 for the grand unveiling.

This free event will have cocktails, light refreshments and music. Local fare will include North Fork Potato Chips, Southampton Publick House microbrews, and wines from Corey Creek Vineyard.
